Chronic diseases are becoming more and more common in old age.
Obesity and diabetes are running rampant with 1.5 million people in the UK who have diabetes, are aged over 65 and obesity rates are increasing with age.
While in the UK average life expectancy is 70-80 years, there are areas in the world where life expectancy is 100+. How and what do they do to live a long and healthy life? Dil will talk about these zones.
Our culture today is focused on adhering to different diets and exercise programs. But evidence shows that these are not sustainable changes. Within the first few months of a diet, more than 90% of individuals will have given up. There is a similar decline when it comes to maintaining a gym membership. It is clear then that there is no quick fix. Dil will show you how small changes can help with long lasting health benefits.
While genetics somewhat determine lifespan and susceptibility to diseases, lifestyle probably has a greater impact.
Health or dis-ease comes from a complex interaction of physical, emotional, dietary, genetic, environmental, lifestyle and other factors. As a Health Coach, Dil has been trained to look at the whole person, taking all these factors into consideration. And more importantly, injecting a bit of fun along the way. After all, your health is the most precious thing you have, so let’s enjoy it!

I am a certified Health Coach and Reiki Practitioner. I am dedicated to inspiring good dietary and lifestyle habits to promote improved mental and physical health. It’s inspiring to see how our lives can be transformed by not only what we eat but also how we think and feel. How small changes can make a big impact. I graduated as a Health Coach from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) one of UK’s largest, well known and highly respected training providers; I specialise in Type 2 Diabetes & weight loss, How to Live Well for Longer and how to deal with Stress in the Workplace.
I am passionate about wanting to help people achieve their best potential. Having worked in the corporate world, theatre arts and television I can see the demands placed on the individual where you are constantly expected to deliver not only good results but exceptional outcome. This in turn takes its toll on the mind, body and soul. I am fully conversant with the challenges of trying to follow a healthy lifestyle whilst juggling a stressful job. But with a little collaboration between the mind and the body we can find comfort in something more nurturing.
I am registered with Complimentary and Natural Health Care Council and fully insured by ANP and Balens.
