January workshop: New Year New You – the Refectory @ Colet House
As we enter into a new year and make new resolutions, we soon find that our good intentions (eat well, do more exercise etc) fall by the wayside as the days and weeks go by and we revert to old habits. Dil will talk about the importance of good nutrition and exercise and how to incorporate it into your daily life. She will show you how to make small lifestyle changes for big impacts.
She’ll talk about nutrition and how good food can aid recovery not only from ill health but also malnutrition. She’ll show us the how and the why.
Health or disease comes from a complex interaction of physical, emotional, dietary, genetic, environmental, lifestyle and other factors. Dil has been trained to look at the whole person, taking all these factors into account.
She’ll also touch upon anxiety & stress. How good lifestyle habits can help to minimise and deal with stress. After all a little bit of stress is necessary to carry out the body’s flight or fight response. It’s how to use it to our advantage – that’s the key.
Dil will show easy ways of turning resolutions into habits, share case histories and some simple nutritious recipes that are easy and affordable and will conclude with a light lunch of a bean soup which is rich in B Vitamins.

I am a certified Health Coach and Reiki Practitioner. I am dedicated to inspiring good dietary and lifestyle habits to promote improved mental and physical health. It’s inspiring to see how our lives can be transformed by not only what we eat but also how we think and feel. How small changes can make a big impact. I graduated as a Health Coach from the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) one of UK’s largest, well known and highly respected training providers; I specialise in Type 2 Diabetes & weight loss, How to Live Well for Longer and how to deal with Stress in the Workplace.
I am passionate about wanting to help people achieve their best potential. Having worked in the corporate world, theatre arts and television I can see the demands placed on the individual where you are constantly expected to deliver not only good results but exceptional outcome. This in turn takes its toll on the mind, body and soul. I am fully conversant with the challenges of trying to follow a healthy lifestyle whilst juggling a stressful job. But with a little collaboration between the mind and the body we can find comfort in something more nurturing.
